Serina Nila is currently training under the guidance of William A Forthsythe at ED5 International studying for an Advanced Diploma Of Performing Arts. The course covers all aspects of dance, singing and acting under industry professionals such as Kim Traynor, Leslie Bell, Nathan Sheens, Neale Whaittaker, Phillip Filo and Ed Wightman.
Serina originally trained at Vallerie Smith Stage School (VSSS) under director Laura (2012).
During her time at VSSS, she completed her Grade 5, Intermediate foundation and intermediate ballet exams as well as receiving an honors plus in her Jazz exam in 2015. She moved to FORM DANCE STUDIOS in 2018 as it was formed.
In February 2020, Serina performed on the Seymour Centre stage her physical theatre and dance inspired HSC drama piece titled “Operation spooky”. She similarly received a nomination for ‘Callbacks’ in her hsc dance Major Performance studies, which was choreographed by both herself and Laura.
She has participated in a vast variety of musicals including but not limited to, High school Musical (The musical), The Little Mermaid, The Wiz, God Spell, Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, The Hot Mikado and Seussical.
In 2019 she choreographed 2 numbers in High School Musical (the musical) while playing a leading role. As an alumni of Northern Beaches Christian School, she is currently choreographing their rendition of Matilda brought to stage in June 2020.
She would love to go into Musical Theatre and eventually Screen Acting and Television.
