Claudia Hastings


Claudia grew up in America where she completed most of her training. She studied at Yen Li Chen Ballet school as well as attending, Ellison Ballet NYC, The School of American Ballet and Boston Ballet. Moving to Australia in 2015 she completed full-time studies at the Queensland National Ballet and Ev and Bow. In 2017 she performed with the Royal Ballet in their Brisbane tour of “A Winter’s Tale”. Claudia started working with Opera Australia in 2018 and has been a part of productions such as; Aida, Anna Bolena, Atila, and The Best of the Operas. In September of 2018, Claudia won the Brisbane International Contemporary Dance Prix and was offered a cash prize as well as multiple contracts with companies around the world. Early in 2019 Claudia traveled to Oman where she premiered in the Royal Opera House of Muscat’s production of Lakmé working with world renowned director Davide Livermore. Claudia has also completed a short term Traineeship with the Sydney Dance Company.

As for teaching, Claudia specialises in Ballet, Technique/Stretch, Lyrical, Contemporary and Acro. She enjoys working with students of all backgrounds and continuing to improve their technique and strength to succeed to the best of their ability!
